Number One Mistake

Number One Mistake

Are you making this mistake? Are you making the number one mistake that many affiliate marketers are making?

Number One Mistake
Number One Mistake

I started affiliate marketing less than a year ago. I was very successful and had created a steady stream of income coming in.

Yeah, I was thrilled. Right? Who wouldn’t be? Despite the fact I started at ground zero, I was seeing a steady flow of cash coming into my account.

Then it happened.

The company I was marketing for changed the website addresses of their links. My traffic came to a screeching halt.

BAM! It occurred to me, what I had done.

Without initially realizing what was happening I had sent this company more than 2,000 new customers, and they had collected their email addresses (not me.) Now that they’ve changed the URL’s for all the products I’d been promoting, and making money on, I had nothing. No income and no contacts.

Nothing Nada
Nothing Nada

I won’t make this number one mistake again because that company is now marketing to the 2,000 customers I’ve sent their way. Had I not made this number one mistake, I could be marketing to those 2,000 customers right now instead of writing this blog.

This blog contains affiliate links. If you buy something, I’ll receive a commission of some kind, but that costs you nothing extra. If your blog doesn’t contain affiliate links, then that’s mistake number two.

Avoiding The Number One Mistake

My solution? Get response.  Get response will collect email addresses for you, and allow you to use autoresponders to market to your customers. Yes, there’s a fee. The entry-level cost is $15.00 a month. Let’s do the math, is it worth it?

Let’s calculate what an entry-level account might be worth. We’ll be conservative here. Suppose you have 1,000 customers on your list and let’s say you are selling a program that will yield you $49.95 a sale, and finally let’s assume you make a sale to 3% of those 1,000 customers.

1,000 customers x 3% = 30 buying customers

30 X $49.95 = $1,498.50 this could be your profit from one promotional email.

Start converting your contacts into YOUR customers with GetResponse all-in-one online marketing platform.

The customer list I created (for someone else) of 2,000 took about six months. My income would be double the example we created above. Think about the possibilities of your list being 2,000 or 4,000 customers and more.

Get Response and get started creating your email marketing list.

Internet Traffic

Internet Traffic

Is Internet traffic important to your online business? Yeah, that’s a ridiculous question, but it does it your attention doesn’t it. No business can survive without traffic.

It doesn’t matter if you own a brick and mortar business or an online business like many people today. Either business model needs traffic to survive.

This post might contain affiliate links. They cost you nothing but help me pay for this blog. Thanks for your support.

4% Group

By using Internet Traffic Mastery from the 4% group I’ve learned a whole new world of traffic generation. Take a few minutes to listen to this video, it’ll help you in all aspects of your business generation.

Traffic for the Brick and Mortar Business

When a brick and mortar business is planning on opening the doors, a high traffic area is one of the first things they study before deciding on a location. They weigh the costs of a particular location against the amount of traffic in the area. But, we’re not talking brick and mortar today.

How to Get Internet Traffic Online

There’s so much to learn about internet traffic. And, without it, your business will fail. So it’s vitally important you understand the kinds of internet traffic and how to get it to your site.

Kinds of Internet Traffic

We can’t begin the list all the kinds of internet traffic here. Also if we did you’d get overwhelmed with the choices. So, we’ll pick a few important places to start to generate some good quality traffic to your site.

  • Influencer Traffic
  • Retargeting Traffic
  • Pinterest and Pinterest Group Boards
  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Instagram

Influencer Internet Traffic

This traffic comes from the major influencers on the internet who are in the same space as your product or site. For example; if you’ve got a “Low Carb” or “Keto” product you’d be looking for the not notch people in that field.

Ask them if you can guest post on their blog, then request to put your link in the post as part of the arrangement.

Retargeting Traffic

Have you ever noticed that when you look up a product, a dress or a car for example; that suddenly you see that dress or car popping up all over the internet as you are surfing. That isn’t by coincidence. That is called retargeting traffic.

Pinterest and Pinterest Group Boards for Internet Traffic

Pinterest has helped blogs big and small gain an enormous amount of internet traffic over the last few years. Many bloggers report that 70% or more of their traffic is due to Pinterest. If you don’t have a large following on Pinterest to help drive traffic, then you can look for group boards to join. Often people with large followings will have large group boards which can help you get traffic quickly to your site.

Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram

These are social media sites as is Pinterest. If you don’t have a strong social media presence, you can purchase paid ads on these sites. But, before you invest in paid advertising I highly recommend you watch this video from the 4% group.

They’re an awesome group. We are each working toward our goals of prosperity. Enjoy!

What Are You Planting

What Are You Planting

What are you planting? Success, failure or nothing?

I love this story from Earl Nightingale. In his talk entitled “The Strangest Secret,” he compares the human mind to that of a farmers land.

“Now the land,” he says “like the mind doesn’t care what you plant, but it must return to you what you plant.” He goes on to tell how many times the bible says that too, “you shall reap what you sow.”

Listen to his story here:

Increase Profits

Increase Profits

Increase profits and all your successes instantly by writing a to-do list.

Studies show a to-do list can increase your chances of success by almost 40% very quickly. But what is a to-do list? What does it look it?

Increase Profits
Increase Profits

A to-do list can be a very different creature for you than it is for me.

Who Does That?

know people who use an old yellow legal pad. (Yes, they still make them.) They list their most important job of the day as number one on the list. Then, they write their number two most important job, and so on and so forth. I used to do that too until I found something better.

Really nerdy people will add something to their list that wasn’t originally there so that they can cross it off. (Okay, I’m really nerdy sometimes.)

I’m an affiliate marketer too; so that you know; this post does contain affiliate links. They don’t cost you one red cent but could pay me a small commission. The rules of blogging say I have to tell you that, so I’ve told you.

Sounds Simple Enough

To increase your profits by making a list seems simple enough. But, slow down for just a second. You need to create a to-do list correctly to increase your profits.

To successfully increase your profits, you need organization, determination, and consistency. Create a prosperous climate by following a proper plan. More importantly, create this climate so you can plan to succeed.

Here are a Few Tips on Making a Good to-do list

  • Keep it simple, start with only 2 or 3 things on your list
  • When you get pulled away or distracted (and you will) just return to your list when you can and start again.
  • Plan your list the night before, so when the day starts you’re ready to go.

I’ve always been a planner, and it’s served me well. But EVERYTHING changed for me when I started blogging, and my Pinterest affiliate business. Because it was a totally new adventure for me, I needed guidance.

The Money Is In The List

I know you’ve heard a million times that “the money is in the list.” But, if your emails are not being viewed your list is worthless. For that reason learn how to grow your list and how to make it convert.

Logo Design

Logo Design

Logo design is of utmost importance. Because a logo is the visual building block of your business, and your showcases your brand at a glace it needs to be awesome. Having a professional logo gives your company identity. An engaging logo should be the number one item on your to-do list because it makes your business memorable.

Thin and Slender
Thin And Slender

The image above is my logo I use for my site I had it designed on Fiverr. Isn’t it darling? I use it on my site, my pins, and my digital products. As a result, my visitors recognize my pins on Pinterest and know they are mine.
First impressions are essential, we speak of that often regarding human interaction, but it’s as important in business recognition. Here a few reasons a professional logo design is imperative.

Stand out in the crowd of millions of internet users is not easy, but a great logo design and help you to be recognized quickly.

The Purpose Of A Logo

  • It gives your site, and products, a sense of unity, and that builds trust with your followers and customers.

The logo below was also designed by Fiverr for a coffee shop you can see how it identifies their brand.

  • Speaking of customers, a professional logo design helps attract new customers.
  • A professional logo makes you look, well, professional. Out on the www that’s important.
  • A good logo design helps keep your current customers engaged because it’ll help them recognize your brand. If your site and logo are professional looking and you provide great content your customers won’t go hunting for something better.

You might be wondering what exactly makes a logo design good, better or even best. A lot goes into a drawing. It needs to be memorable, and identify with your business. If you’ve got the cutest logo on the web, but it doesn’t relate to your business, you’ve wasted a lot of time in your design.

Your logo design should be instantly recognizable; unique and different, so your visitors don’t glance at it and think it reminds them of another logo they’ve seen. There’s no mistaking what this logo represents.

Attention to Visual Detail

Logo design for cycle shop.

Your logo is your brand it should NOT be changed over and over. Once you’ve decided on a great logo, incorporate it into all your material. As a result, you’ll be branding yourself. Because of the branding and quick recognition, if you’re new on the web and don’t have a professionally designed logo, first and foremost get one now. I recommend Fiverr. Their professional designers start at just $5.00 to get you a great logo ready. Once you settle for the perfect logo the next step is easy don’t change it. It should stand the test of time. If you keep changing it, it’ll never be recognizable to an audience.

The design you decide on should be adaptable. As a result, you’ll be able to use it on your site, Pinterest pins, business cards, and digital products.

For me, a logo design needs to be affordable, and that’s why I went to Fiverr.

Blog Planner

Blog Planner

I’ve always been a list maker, so using a blog planner for focus fits perfectly into my love for list making. I can get a lot done in a day by planning ahead, and I believe my list making has made that possible.

Since deciding to start my blog, I knew I just had to have a blog planner. Some people don’t like planning because they say it cramps their style. When used properly it doesn’t cramp my style, it frees me.

To Start My Day

I start every day by making a to-do list using my blog planner. The first item on my list is my #1 priority item. My second item is my #2 priority item, and so on and so forth. I begin working on item #1. I’m often interrupted by a fire or an emergency of some kind. But, when that fire is out I don’t waste any time deciding what to do next. I just start right back with #1 on my list until it’s complete, then I move onto item #2.

This post contains affiliate links. They cost you nothing but could pay me a small commission if you click on a link or decide to make a purchase. Thanks for your support.

As I work my way through my list and my day using my blog planner my entire day goes much smoother and I work more efficiently getting more done. When my scheduled work day comes to an end my to-do list is almost always complete.  The focus my blog planner gives me has been a blessing and an answer to my prayers.

You can find a variety of planners that fit your specific needs. My planner contains 22 pages, some of the specific pages are listed here for your convenience.
